Thank You and All the Best - Welcoming New President - CAMP Toronto
Dear CAMP Toronto Members Assalamu Alaikum,
            Happy New Year!

2010 brings with us a new era and a whole new set of possibilities. And like all things, CAMP Toronto will also be affected by this New Year.  Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the exec members (Asma, Kamran), board members, volunteers and past advisory board members that made CAMP Toronto what it is over the last 1 1/2 years. As well as all the partners, supporters and the many well wishers that attended our events and continued to show your support to the organization.

CAMP Toronto, now in its 7th year is moving forward with many new ideas, new projects and most importantly with a new Board of Directors, one that will be lead by our incoming President, Najamuddin Mohammed.

Najamuddin Mohammed has been an avid supporter of CAMP Toronto and has been an active member in the Muslim Community in Greater Toronto Area and has served on CAMP-Toronto Board for last 5 years serving in various roles including Executive-Vice President in 2009. Has worked in IT for past last 13 years with the last 11 years at Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning and has served on Humber College's Academic Council and its Executive Committee for several years and is the current Support Staff Representative on Humber College's Board of Governors. Najamuddin is a graduate of Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning with Systems Analyst Diploma and several IT certificates. He completed his Bachelor of General Studies degree with a focus in International Business, Human Resources and IT from British Columbia Open University now known as Thompson Rivers University and completed his Master of Arts in Education degree from Central Michigan University. He is a member of IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.

Please join me in welcoming Najamuddin Mohammed as the incoming President of CAMP Toronto. We wish him all the best! With this, I say good bye and all the best to our membership and to all the dear friends I have made over the last 3 ½ years of my tenure with CAMP Toronto. It has been a pleasure, I have learnt a lot and did my best along with my wonderful team members (you know who you are : -)) to make a mark on the city on behalf of the Muslim Professionals in Toronto, from trips to ISNA, the many community dinners, to our CAMP Toronto Leadership Summit last November to our Gala at the CN Tower this summer, it’s been fun!

As I walk away and move on to a new path, I can’t help but remember how much of an impact this organization and the positions I have held have affected the work I do today, so I urge you to consider volunteering your time to CAMP Toronto and other organizations that positively impact the city. After all, as Muslim Professionals, we are privileged to be in a position to contribute and engage in the community civically and politically.Thank you for all the memories… All the best!
